My Approach to Therapy
I believe that we have views of the world and ourselves that are either healthy or unhealthy. These core beliefs cause us to have either a positive or negative view of ourself which impacts our mental health. By working together, we will focus on you and your core beliefs about the world that may cause problems in your life such as anxiety or depression. Together we will work to identify where these deeply held beliefs come from. We will identify ways that you can process unhealthy life experiences (trauma) that have caused you to view yourself or the world in ways that are not helpful. I find that these experiences lead to many of the issues that negatively impact our mental health.
